About Me

My journey into jewelry making began long before I ever picked up a torch. I started my career as an intensive care nurse and later spent many years in healthcare technology. Whether at the bedside or behind a screen, my work has always been rooted in helping people — a value that continues to guide my creative work today.

I took my first silversmithing class in 2003 at the Edina Arts Center in Minnesota and was instantly hooked, a new reason for fire and tools. Over time, I gathered tools and stones and began working with silver (way less expensive then!) whenever life and space allowed — not easy in condos or NYC apartments where fire and torches aren't exactly welcome. Still, the pull to create remained strong.

Now partially retired and living in Prescott Arizona, flanked by wide open spaces, cows and mountain bike trails I’ve built a studio of my own where I spend most days designing and creating. I’ve lived in many places over the years — from the mountains of Colorado where I grew up, to the energy of New York City, and the creative pulse of Minneapolis. Each place has shaped my perspective and subtly influenced my design. That journey continues to show up in the work I make.

I especially love custom work — finding just the right stone and co-creating with a customer is one of the most rewarding parts of what I do. When I’m not at the bench, I volunteer and serve on the board of Catty Shack, a cat rescue in Prescott. My two studio companions — both adopted cats — keep me company as they nap in their bins beside me.

Each piece I create carries with it a sense of care, connection, and joy — a reflection of the life I’ve lived, and an offering to those who wear it.
